Description:

A triple-form, stepped sculpture which acknowledges the following local factors as sources: The view of aeroplane tail planes waiting to fly - lined up on the runway at Filton Airport which is opposite the site. Concorde – which has a strong association with Filton/Bristol. Rugby - was played on the site and a new pitch provided by the developer. The sculpture also acts as a sign to the site and each of the three attenuated tail planes forms a directional angle towards North Bristol Park. Fabricated from stainless steel by ABR, brass patination by Castle Fine Art Foundry and Portland stone from Stone Firms Ltd carved by Phil and sited with Damon Bramley's assistance.
