Commissioned by South Gloucestershire Council and Terramond Developments
Materials - Portland stone, stainless steel and brass. A 3m high, triple-form, stepped sculpture which acknowledges the following local factors as sources:The view of aeroplane tail planes waiting to fly - lined up on the runway at Filton Airport which is opposite the site.
Concorde - which has a strong association with Filton, Bristol.Rugby - was played on the site and a new pitch provided by the developer.
The sculpture also acts as a sign to the site and each of the three attenuated tail planes forms a directional angle towards North Bristol Park.
