Shoes Sculpture Trail

Upton Place, Northampton

Northampton has a centuries old tradition of shoe and boot making and the site has many roads names connected to the fabrication of shoes.

Wax shoes made in wokshops run by Phil and Diane were made by students from Northgate School and Extra Time - Cobblers Community group for the over fifties both these workshops were held at the Northampton Football Club Stadium. Further workshops were held for pupils and staff at Quiton House School, and the Coalway Group.

The shoes were cast by Castle Fine Arts Foundry and sited throughout Upton Place.
