Surtr Flames

Grosvenor Park, Chester
Commissioned by Cheshire West and Chester Council

Surtr Flames, Corten Steel flames with a brass sword and bronze mask of Surtr, a
companion piece to the stone sculpture of Ymir that Phil had previously carved for the park.

Diane designed the work and made the mask which was cast at Castle Fine Arts Foundry. Ben Collins of PJ Engineering fabricated the flames and sword, Paul Janes transferred the design so that it could be cut on their laser cutter.
